Bruce serves as President of Next Generation Veterans,Inc. He is a 4th Generation veteran, having served in the USMC from 1992 - 2001. He has lived in Vero Beach for over 16 years, and spends much of his time working on projects that support our local veterans. As a founding member of Next Generation Veterans, he is proud of the work that has been done and continues to be done for our younger veterans as they return home.
Maj. Matt Scheidel
Maj. Scheidel serves as Vice-President of Next Generation Veterans, Inc. He has 24 years of service behind him and is still actively serving in the U.S Air ForceMost, recently as the Director of Logistics for the 308th Rescue Squadron, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. He is a fairly new resident of Vero Beach but not new to the area, having visited family throughout his childhood. He is passionate about being part of the ongoing efforts to help the veterans of Indian River County.
Col. Patty Ryan (RET)
Patty serves as Treasurer of the team. She is a 29 year veteran of the US Army and the Rhode Island National Guard. Patty served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and in Kuwait and Afghanistan. Following retirement in 2012, Colonel Ryan became a chef and a teacher, and now resides in Sebastian. In addition to serving as our treasurer, the colonel volunteers with the American Red Cross, the Indian River County Veterans Council, and Literacy Services of IRC.
Leydiana is the team's Secretary. Leydiana has lived in Vero Beach for over 12 years, and is passionate about community involvement and volunteering as a professional and a private citizen especially with our veteran community. Having a brother who served in the USMC from 1992 – 2000, she was further inspired to become involved with Next Generation Veterans and is honored to work alongside them to find ways that she can give back.
Kim Palazzolo serves as the marketing and media coordinator for the Next Generation Veterans, Inc. She is an avid supporter of the veterans since coming from a family that have served and are still serving.
